When you look at her spreadsheet (sorry, I couldn't attach it here) YELLOW means we need someone to sign up for this item and BLUE means this item has already been given to the drill team.

Red Oak Competition – January 22nd – All Day – Please plan to work.
Competition – Desoto – February 26th.
Competition – Fort Worth – March 25-26.
Tryouts for 2011-2012 Hawkettes – April 9th.
Spring Show – April 23rd – This is Easter weekend.
Hawkette Banquet – May 14th.

Please make sure you have your donated items (for our competition) to Christy before Christmas Holidays.


Also, if you ordered braided bread, you or your daughter will need to pick it between 2:00 and 4:30 on Monday, November 29 in the drill team gym. If you cannot make this time, please call  Christy

Letter from the President

Hello,




I know everyone is very busy getting ready for school to start. It is hard to believe it is time already. We will have our first Hawkette Booster Club meeting for the year on Thursday, August 26th at 6:30. We will be meeting in the new high school library. There is a door to the library on the left side of the main entrance. It is important for everyone to be a part of the booster club and attend the meetings. A lot of information is given out at the meetings that you might not know about otherwise. At this meeting we will be discussing tips for the year, fundraising, end of the year trip, homecoming decorations for the girls, etc.

Many of you have been asking about the end of the year trip. It looks like it will be to Los Angeles, California – HOW EXCITING - It is sponsored by HTE, the company that held summer camp. You can go to their website, www.htedance.com, and click on special events to get some information. They still have 2010 information posted, but I am sure it will be basically the same. It looks like an experience of a lifetime for anyone. I am making a guess that it will cost about $1500.00 a piece, and that may be a little high. We will make payments through the year that could start as early as September. Mrs. Kelly will have that information to us as soon as she has it confirmed. It is important that we do fundraisers so that every girl will be able to go. It would e great if they could earn enough money to pay their way completely.
